Talking about books, about reading, and about the craft of writing is one of the best parts of my job. I've visited with students all over the country in settings ranging from inner-city classrooms to a rural one-room schoolhouse. My goal with every presentation is to inspire a future generation of readers and writers through:

		A humorous Powerpoint slideshow that explains where authors get their ideas and how they shape them into stories
		Discussion of the writing and editing process
		A creative writing exercise (or oral storytelling exercise for younger students)
		Q&A
