Calling all Bay Area fans!

California, here I come!

For those of you who live in the San Francisco Bay Area, I’ll be appearing at the Castro Valley Library on Tuesday, November 16th from 6:30-7:30. ย This eventย is a writing workshop geared for 4th-8th graders (with wiggle room in the age range), and the library is asking participants to pre-register, so give them a call at 510-667-7900. ย A book signing will follow.

The Castro Valley Library is at 3600 Norbridge Ave, Castro Valley, CA 94546. ย Hope to see you there!

  1. You’re my favorite author ever, and when I heard about this signing I really wanted to go. The thing is, I don’t think I can make it for all of it. Can I come late? By the way, do you know how far away Danville (where I live) is from Castro Valley?

    • Sarah, I’m sure you can come late — the writing workshop part goes from 6:30 to 7:30, and then I’ll hang out signing books until about 7:45 or 8, depending on how many people are there.

I know exactly where Danville is. I’m not sure how long a drive it is, though. Maybe half an hour? Better ask your mom or dad… Hope you can make it! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I started reading your mother daughter book club seris last year when i was in 5th grade. I fell in love with it got so excited when i found out our school library got the 2nd one and i read that one last year too. Now i am in 6th grade and our school got Dear Pen Pal and I was the first one in the whole school to get it and we are on thanksgiving break right now so i was on the computer and saw that you made a forth one and i called my dad at work and told my sister and mom cause i was so excited! Now i cant wait to read it. And i just read that your making a Fifth one super excited about that i love your books! Keep writing! Your a SUPER writer!

  6. Oh my gosh! Your coming out with a fifth and sixth book! That’s amazing! I’ve almost finished your series. I’m still reading the fourth book. Do you think you will ever come to the Quad Cities? The Mother Daughter Book Club series is awesome! I love it! I discovered your first book at a library. Then I bought the next two at a book store. And then my mom found the fourth one in a different library. It must take a while to publish a book. But I definitely think it’s worth it.

  7. My friend recommended the books to me so I thought I would give them a try. I am SO GLAD that I did!! I absolutely LOVE them!! I can’t wait to read the fifth and sixth ones!! When will the fifth one come out??

  8. Hi heather! I absolutly love your mother daught book club series. Me and my mother both do! I can to realate to then because I am 14 and entering the high school soon as well. I just wanted to ask, will you be publishing any more for this series? I surely hope so, I really look pears to one soon!

    • Hi Hailee — yes, there are going to be TWO more! “Home for the Holidays” will be published next September, and the sixth and final one will be published the September after that (2012). ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. I absolutely agree with you. It’s so good it should be a movie. I have a couple of questions. First of all, is Savannah going to have her own perspective? Are Ashley and Jen? And what about Chloe when she grows up. I think it would be cool to put someboys on the cover, like you could put couples together (Jess and Darcy, Emma and Stewart… etc.) I want to know what Zach Norton looks like!

    • Savannah probably won’t have her own chapters, because she’s not an official member of the book club. You’ll get to know her more in book six, though. Zach Norton will have to come alive in your imagination (and the other boys, too). I don’t think he’s going to make it onto the cover!
