  1. Oh, wait it’s actually December 16! She would be 237 years old!! 😀 I do love Pride & Prejudice, though. Happy birthday, Jane Austen!

  2. Happy birthday, Jane Austen! Wouldn’t it be fun if you started a tea shop just like Gigi? I would definitley come all the way over to the West to see! 😀

  3. Even though she was born 237 years ago, her books are still loved today and continue to make an impact on people’s lives. If that’s not a good author, I don’t know what is.

    • I don’t think so, Helena. I think there’s just one of her as an adult that was done during her lifetime, a sketch that her sister Cassandra did.

  4. It was my birthday too! The Boston tea party also happened on the 16 what a small world. Happy birthday to everyone else out there that was born on the 16.

  5. I have a Pies and Prejudice question that I just remembered while watching The Princess Bride. One of the people in Stinkerbelle’s posse, Victoria Wesley, is called Buttercup for some inexplicable reason. Since Wesley and Buttercup are the two main characters in The Princess Bride, was it just random, or was it connected with the movie?

  6. Ms. Vogel, in Pies and Prejudice Emma published a book, way don’t you write that book. You were writing it in Pies and Prejudice and the way you described it was really good! BTW I LOVED reading Pies and Prejudice. When I read it I felt like I was part of the book. Thank you for writing the best books ever:)

  7. ms,vogel i love ur books 🙂 specially your mother dughter book club seires 🙂 AND HAPY BIRTHDAY JANE AUSTEN I LOVE HER BOOKS AS MUCH AS I LOVE YOURS WISH U HAD A MEET AND GREET SO I COULD SEE U I HAVE READ ALL OF YOUR BOOKS

  8. I love Pies and Prejudice. I wonder who would play who in a movie… Bella Thorne playing the tomboy Cassidy would kill me! LOL! Brenda Song is too old to play Megan now. Emma will be hard too. Jess… still have nothing. Taylor Swift is 22 now. Becca… Ashley Tisdale is too old. Wait Stefanie Scott could play Becca! Ms. Fredrick I love these books. My favorite character is Emma. I like Megan too so she’s probably my second favorite. I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was 8. I have the Beacon Street Girls by Annie Bryant to thank for that. Mother Daughter Book Club is my third favorite series because of Beacon Street Girls and Wendy Mass’s birthday series. Well you could call it a trilogy I guess.

  9. So your series is really my SECOND favorite! 🙂 I should dedicate a book to you when I grow up! I seriously might since I just don’t know how I could pick anyone besides my editor and family so I’ll dedicate one to you. Hopefully you’ll be more flatteted when it’s published Ms. Fredrick. 🙂 Maybe I should dedicate “Surving Emily Dickinson” to you since you love dodgeball and the first book will be all about everyone’s opinion of dodgeball! I’ll day your name is… Hillary! Hillary Fitzgerald? Maybe Fitzgerald is too fancy I don’t know?… Anyway they should really make a movie for Mother Daughter Book Club. Maybe even all six books. 🙂 That would be SO cool! MAYBE YOU SHOULD PLAY ONE OF THE MOTHERS LIKE MRS. HAWTHORNE! Lol I wrote that in caps so you could see it but that would be seriously cool. 🙂

    • I will look forward to having one of your books dedicated to me, Jocelyn. What an honor that wil be! 🙂

  10. Yay Jane Austen! I wonder how many books you would have gone on to write if you were still alive!
