Thoughts on writer’s block

I’m often asked about writer’s block, and what I do if/when I’m afflicted. You can click here for my answer to that question, and click here to see what 10 other writers have to say about the subject, courtesy of the wonderful blog Aerogramme Writers’ Studio.

Good stuff.

  1. Oh my goodness!!! Thank you! This post could not have come at a better time! I’m stuck on page 13_ in chapter 13 I think and I am stuck cold. I’m like completely blank! This really helps though. Ta

  2. Dear Mrs. Frederick, thank you for answering this question. As a writer in progress, I needed to know how to answer this question if it ever came up. I liked your simple, precise, answer. And the opinions of other writers.

  3. I sure could use Megan right now I need to sketch a Halloween costume because I’m going to be Effie Trinket from the Hunger Games and they have no Effie costumes at costume stores so I am designing my own.( I found one Effie costume but it was over my limit money wise way over my limit is $38 and the price was $650.

  4. Thanks for this 😀 I certainly suffer from writer’s block, but now I vow to write every day- this made me get out my pencil and start, particularly Ernest Hemingway’s comment.
By the way, Mrs. Frederick, I agree with you about homemade costumes being more satisfying than bought ones. ‘m sure you’ll come up with something great, Aliya 😀 Channel your inner Megan! I’m creating a costume as well for a con, and procuring the materials has actually been pretty fun ^.^

  5. Usually with school papers is when I get writers block. Being forced to write something specific in a small time frame is frustrating… Especially when they’re telling you to be creative!!
